Rick has worked in mineral exploration for 30 years. He also has six years experience as a Forestry Contractor. In the late 70’s, he received his initial training with Amex Exploration. Following completion of the Provincial Government’s Prospecting course, He spent five years (1980-1985) with Kerr Dawson & Associates in the capacity of Crew Foreman. In 1986-1987, he worked with Dawson Geological. The following year in 1988, he formed a partnership with an associate, and in 1993 he left the partnership and incorporated Hendex Exploration Services Ltd., which had operated out of Princeton, and currently out of Prince George, providing services to the Mining, Forestry, Oil & Gas Industries. Services Provided Line cutting: Some past contracts include line cutting near Barrier, Adams Lake, Harrison Lake, Kimberley, the Cariboo, the Rocky Mountains, the Nation Lakes, Princeton, Vancouver Island, Eskay Creek, & the Toodogone. Line cutting has been done in Fort Nelson area for Seismic surveys. Grid lines are GPS controlled. Geochem. surveys: Extensive experience over the past 30 years, including profile soils with power augers and by hand. Samplers have prospecting knowledge, and keep an eye out for interesting rock types and collect samples if warranted. Regional surveys: Have included a collection of heavies, pan concentrates & standard silts. GPS’s are used for navigation & plotting, along with extensive map reading skills. Prospecting: Hendex has prospectors with 10 - 25 yrs. experience, all with GPS skills. Falling: Contracts have included falling for roadways, heli and drill pads, and fire abatement for such pads. Forestry Contracts: Hendex has six years experience with pine beetle related operations including fall & burn and probing. Slashing: Hendex has slashed cut blocks and roadways. Other Services Provided: Core splitting/cutting, trench layouts, chip sampling, and expediting. Fully Equipped: Hendex has extensive gear to carry out any grass roots project including 3 - 4x4 trucks, 3 - snowmobiles, and 2 - quads. Certificates: Level 1 with Transport Endorsement, Falling Certification Wildlife Danger Tree, EMS Training Level III, PITS Chainsaw Safety, WHMIS and H2S Alive. Contract or Per Diem: Hendex is available on a contract basis, or per diem for Rick and or members of his crew. Insurance: Hendex carries 1 million Public Liability coverage, plus 2 million 3rd Party on their trucks. Fire fighting expense insurance also carried.
